The Open Air Theatre re-opened in 2010 by HRH The Queen is attracting many famous artists at it’s massive 6,500 capacity seated arena. The Theatre in the Round is very popular and is where Alan Ayckbourn’s plays receive their world premieres.
If it’s state of the art water slides you want then the Alpamare Water Park will keep any adventurous family amused and is situated on the North Side adjacent to the beautiful Peasholm Park.
Dalby Forest is on your doorstep with the famous ‘Go Ape’ and miles of mountain bike tracks. A super visitors centre has lots of events going on all year round and a fabulous play area with ample barbeques makes Dalby Forest a full day out.
Heading north from your cottage is the route of the old Scarborough to Whitby railway offering some sensational vistas as it bypasses quiet coastal villages clinging to the cliffs.

Low Moor Holiday Cottages are in the North York Moors National Park and inland excursions take you to the Roman Road at Wheeldale and Goathland, more commonly known as Aidensfield.

Jet jewellery and smoked kippers are famous exports but you will regret leaving without visiting the enchanting ruined abbey, if you can manage the 199 steps up to the landmark (don’t worry there is a bus to take you there from the town if you fancy a rest!)
